Christine Tobin Pseudologia Fantastica CD

Pseudologia Fantastica from Irish singer-songwriter Christine Tobin combines spoken word, multi-layered vocals, electronics, song, beats and more, in a musical soundscape that refuses to be boxed in by conventions of style or genre. The title meaning pathological liar, charts a journey that explores themes of disinformation, the war on words, the misappropriation of new technologies, rise of far-right ideologies and ultimately the corresponding rise of resistance, community, kindness and power of the human spirit. A change is coming.

"During my research I became increasingly aware that as much as malign forces are sowing seeds of division and disarray, movements of resistance are growing, challenging inequality and campaigning for social justice. The people are uniting and rising up. As the great Patti Smith song says, People Have The Power. Pseudologia Fantastica is a dedication to those who are suffering in these times, a contribution to the resistance and a prayer for a kinder future." - Christine Tobin
