Ewan MacColl is rightly considered one of the key artists in the British Folk tradition, one who not only contributed with his own work but one who also re-invigorated older material and thus helped to keep key artists and songs alive in the UK's musical conscience. MacColl was also a gifted songwriter in his own right and his marriage to US folk singer Peggy Seeger helped to bridge the gap between US and UK Folk styles. This compilation highlights the complete spectrum of Ewan's work with original songs, interpretations of older works, and performances in a duo format with Peggy Seeger.
